When is Someone.....

Posted October 20, 2009

When is someone going to put our politicians behind bars? Today the Federal Conservatives announced that they will introduce legislation that adequately punishes white collar crime. I hope the white collar definition includes those who hold the positions of MP, MPP, Mayor, Municipal Councillor and Media tycoon. We know Bankers and Bay Street Brokers automatically qualify. Is it not funny that we have four titles commencing with the letter “M” and two commencing with the letter “B”. The Masons qualify for the fifth “M” but they have a “Free” get out of jail card. Whoops that means most of the four M’s will never get to see Bubba, because most of them are Masons. We should have a law that forces Masons to publicly expose themselves. The corruption in England was so large that a similar law was passed years ago.  Canada is a harbour of Masonic corruption.
Are Canadians out of their cotton picking minds? Why are we not up in arms and holding these people accountable? Are we afraid, complacent, illiterate, uneducated, politically-immune, unaware or just plain stupid? When you get up off your ass it may be too late. Your Laz-y-boy lounger will have been confiscated!
We seem to be in constant need of money. The TTC is losing money and technically broke, The City of Toronto is broke and they continue to manage our affairs by acquiring more and more debt. The stimulus plan introduced by the Federal government months ago is finally making its way into Conservative ridings and friends of Stephen Harper et al. McGuinty has squandered billions in the mismanagement eHealth, the OLG and the Cancer Institute. Miller hired all his friends and family and bought up all the property along the Lakeshore for exorbitant prices. I am confident many previous landlords did very well selling their contaminated properties for high prices in a down market. Hudak stop asking questions and press charges against the Liberal Party. Forget about committees and inquiries. The only thing taxpayers get out of that is an apology. Get our money back Hudak! That may set a precedent as to how future politicians are affected by the laws of the day and how they are punished for their crimes.
I forgot, McGuinty has legislated the Harmonized Sales Tax. This should make everyone feel good – it will harmonically balance your wallet. No different than a prostrate examination.
It does get any better! Chretien receives a supreme honour from the Queen today. This man was at the center of a half billion dollar scandal just years ago and now is he a member of an elite order. My fine Canadians, in the USA and throughout most of the world senior politicians are killed, incarcerated, impeached and humiliated but in Canada we honour them. We must be the breeding ground for human tragedy. Imagine Chretien in the company of Mother Teresa and Mandela. It’s like envisioning Chretien as Jesus and the Mother Teresa and Mandela as the two thieves.
It is time that Canada goes through a reformation. With the immense natural resources, human capability, geography and ethnic diversity Canada should be the leader of the free world not playing second fiddles to economies such as South Korea, Japan and Brazil. The reason we can’t make the grade is because we cannot read a financial statement. Politicians say we need more money but where are our tax dollars going now? What expenditures are out of whack and what revenues have diminished and what plan is in place to address each category? In private enterprise you must be financially viable or the doors close. The 300,000 manufacturing jobs that have disappeared are a testament to that. I guarantee you that the biggest increase in government expenditures over the years has been in wages and entitlements for government employees and the increasing size of the various government work forces. Most of these individuals are nepotistic hires that in most cases, do not even qualify for the position they now hold. The size of the corruption is so large that no one speaks of it. We could cut half the government jobs and it would have no impact on society. Could you imagine a government employee debasing themselves to a cashier’s position in a supermarket? This is what ordinary Canadians are doing every day. Government employees cannot understand this concept because someone has deemed that government jobs are jobs for life – when did this happen?
With the real estate development BOOM in the past decade and the movement towards market value property tax assessments, there should have been huge increases in the provincial tax coffers. Building permits for home construction that cost $1,000.00, twenty five years ago, start at $10,000.00 today. My garbage pick- up used to be twice a week, now it’s once every two weeks and I have to pay for garbage bins. Where is the recycling revenue going and why has the City retained ownership of my personal garbage? It’s incredible considering the fact that our City streets are filthier now than ever before. Despite the boom our city roads have become laneways. I see situations where roads are paved today and a month later they are cut-up for some, God knows, idiotic reason. City engineers and planners should be fined or fired for this type of gross negligence or are we just making the construction industry fat? The diabetic pandemic started with a government tax.
We need a clean slate and politicians who debase themselves through “Cult-like” thinking and involvement, and debase themselves to personal greed should be put in jail. Lawyers who specialize in class action lawsuits and are the guardians are the law will not touch this. That is how far the corruption goes. When the guardians of the law are now guarded by the criminals, we all lose. Someone start a class-action law suit and get our money back!

Thank you,Joseph Pede
